Teleticket among top 50

TELETICKET, which this summer will offer departures
from all three Northern Ireland airports, has been
named among the 50 fastest-growing private companies
in Britain.
Part of the Servitour group whose Commercial Director
is local woman, Olivia Mullan from Portrush,
Teleticket is now selling more than100,000 airline
seats a year. Olivia was named Northern Ireland Travel
and Tourism Personality of the Year at the 2004 NI
Travel and Tourism Awards gala last October.
Neil Chapman, Telecticket's Managing Director is
delighted with the news of the Sunday Times Virgin
Atlantic Fast Track 100 announced recently.
He said: "My thanks to all the staff in the Servitour
group - Servitour Travel, Teleticket, Sky Golf and
Skybreak. Each and every person has given 150 per cent
to make the company grow and succeed in what has
become a fiercely competitive industry."
More than two years ago Teleticket launched new routes
from Belfast International to Spain. Now this summer
it will add flights from City of Derry and Belfast
City Airports.
Said Olivia Mullan: "Originally we operated solely
from England to a number of European holiday
destinations but, having been based in Spain for 18
years, I had first-hand knowledge that there was a
real deficit of direct flights from Northern Ireland,
and was more than happy to bring my business home.
"I hope that the launch of our new flights from City
of Derry and Belfast City shows our commitment to
invest further in the Northern Ireland market and to
offer a wider choice and 'doorstep to doorstep' travel
for local people."
Sales in Brighton-based Teleticket grew 95 per cent a
year from £2.2m in 2000 to an annual £16.2m in 2003.
Teleticket also operates Skybreak, a customer service
desk at Gatwick Airport serving travel companies like
Kuoni and Explore.
