New flight to Murcia on the way

jet2 737 AircraftTHE flight bonanza for travellers in Northern Ireland shows no signs of abating with low cost airline Jet2.com announcing that it is to commence flights from Belfast International to Murcia (Alicante).

The airline has initially released Saturday and Sunday flights for July, August and September 2006 and more flights are set to follow soon with fares starting at £41 one way inclusive of taxes.

Close to the world-famous resort of La Manga, Murcia is a perfect gateway to the Costa Calida and Costa Blanca and a great low cost alternative to flying into Alicante. Jet2.com boss Philip Meeson, said: "This area of Spain is hugely popular with tourists from both Northern Ireland and across in the Republic. We will be offering genuinely low fares to the Spanish Costas.

"Murcia is close to the world-famous La Manga resort, offering first-class golfing facilities and provides easy access to the Costa Blanca, Costa Calida and Alicante in just 45 minutes by car which will make this a hugely popular route." The Alicante region of Spain is very popular with second homeowners, holidaymakers, golf break enthusiasts and those on short breaks to the Spanish sun. Jet2.com anticipates huge demand for its low fares and will introducing further flights to its Murcia schedule in the next few weeks.
