New Airport Studies Courses

THE sky's the limit at the Lisburn Institute as the college's two new Airport Studies courses take off this September.

For the first time the college will offer prospective students the chance to study for either a BTEC National Certificate or a BTEC National Diploma in Airline and Airport Operations.

Both qualifications will provide students with excellent academic knowledge combined with work experience to facilitate progression and development within the airline industry.

Gerda Wilson, Head of School for Tourism, Hospitality and Sport said Lisburn Institute strived to offer a wide range of courses for students that are recognised by employers and universities alike.

"We are delighted to be introducing these new courses as it opens up more pathways for students interested in following a career in the Airline Industry.

"We aim to work with students to prepare them in the best possible way for the world of work while catering for companies who are seeking well qualified and experienced staff," she said.

Alister McReynolds, Principal and Chief Executive of Lisburn Institute has been delighted to note that interest is already very high for these two new courses.

"There has been a very positive response to these courses already with a large number of applications received.

"I think it would be wise for prospective students who wish to pursue a career in the airline industry to avoid any disappointment and contact the Institute immediately to express their interest."
