EASTERN Airways' popular weekday service between Belfast and Aberdeen is benefiting from increased
capacity with the introduction of the Jetstream 41 aircraft to the route.
The 29-seat aircraft is increasing capacity by 61 per cent, meeting increasing passenger demand, and the
aircraft's shorter flying time is reducing the length of the journey by a quarter of an hour.
Graeme Ross, Eastern Airways Director Scotland, commented "Eastern has successfully operated this
service for two years now, and we are very pleased that continual passenger demand has enabled us to
introduce a larger and faster aircraft to the service."
Uel Hoey, Business Development Director, Belfast International Airport, said: "We are delighted that
Eastern Airways have emphasised their commitment to the Northern Ireland market by adding additional
capacity on the Aberdeen service. "We have a good working relationship between our two
companies and foresee a number of other prospective route development opportunities from Belfast, besides
Aberdeen, which may be uniquely suitable for Eastern to explore in the future."
The Jetstream 41 aircraft now departs Belfast each weekday at 12.30, arriving into Aberdeen at 13.30.
Flights will depart Aberdeen at 11.05 arriving Belfast 12.05.
