Kent comes closer to Belfast

EU jet flight Belfast to KentKENT - known the world over as the Garden of England - is now just a hop, skip and a jump away from Belfast, thanks to regional airline EUjet.

EUjet is operating six weekly flights from Belfast International Airport to Kent International Airport,
near Margate in Thanet, as part of its summer schedule serving 24 European destinations.

With a flight time of only one hour and 40 minutes between Belfast and Kent, local residents can enjoy a short break to the county synonymous with the striking White Cliffs, hop gardens, orchards and cherries. Renowned for its Whitstable oysters, Dover sole, apple juices and ciders, Kent is also famous for its historic position as the 'guardian of England', as well as its literary connections that include Chaucer, Dickens, Ian Fleming, and even Rupert Bear.

Stuart McGoldrick, EUjet's Group Commercial Director, said: "With so much heritage, rolling countryside and coastal resorts Kent offers a great deal for a weekend break or a longer holiday." Visitors can enjoy such well-known heritageattractions as Canterbury Cathedral, Dover Castle and Leeds Castle, as well as the retail therapy offered by Bluewater, one of Europe's largest retail shopping centres.
