EAST Belfast travel agent, Knock Travel is offering to reward acts of kindness by asking you to nominate a friend who has been kind, helpful and caring.

Knock Travel will then select 10 special people who will be rewarded with a champagne river boat cruise to Cutter's River Grill Restaurant where they will enjoy lunch hosted by local TV presenter Julian Simmons.

Says Janet Pywell of Knock Travel: "Countless acts of kindness go unrecognised in this busy life of ours, and so we are offering anyone the opportunity to nominate a friend who has been kind to them, or helped them during a crisis or who has simply been a shoulder to cry on.

"Instead of spending money on other things, we have decided to invest this budget into something more generous and more humanitarian. This is our way of giving something back to the people in the community."

Julian Simmons and Knock Travel Owner Doreen McKenzie will select the 10 winners who will be invited on the river cruise on June 6. It will depart from the Lagan Lookout at Donegall Quay, to Stranmills, where they will disembark to have lunch at Cutter's. They will then return by the river to the Lagan lookout.

Closing date for entries is May 20.
