Flights to New York increased

CONTINENTAL Airlines, the world's sixth largest airline and OAG Airline of the Year 2005, has increased the flight frequency on its non-stop service
from Belfast to New York/Newark.
Continental Airlines Belfast to New YorkContinental now operates a daily, non-stop service between Belfast and New York/Newark up from five existing flights per week. The new schedule represents a seat capacity increase on the route of 40 per cent.
Continental launched the first ever non-stop trans-Atlantic service from the city last year.
"By increasing the frequency of our service and providing more seats, we will be able to offer transatlantic travellers greater choice and
flexibility than ever before," said Bob Schumacher, Continental Airlines' Senior Director U.K. & Ireland.
"In addition to our daily non-stop service to New York from Belfast, our customers can benefit from a great range of quick and easy connecting
flights at our New York hub."
The new flight schedule has been conveniently timed to connect at New York/Newark with an extensive range of services throughout the USA, Canada and Latin America.
Continental is the only major airline to operate a hub in the New York City metropolitan area Newark Liberty International Airport. Located just 16
miles from downtown Manhattan, Liberty International offers the fastest surface transfer journeys to many parts of the city, including the AirTrain
service to New York Penn Station in midtown Manhattan. Passengers arriving at Liberty International on Continental flights from
Belfast can use exclusive immigration and customs facilities in Terminal C3, Continental's Global Gateway, and connect quickly and easily with
Continental's 407 daily services from Liberty International to more than 230 destinations throughout the Americas, including more than 120 served
non-stop, in almost all cases without changing terminals.
Continental operates non-stop flights to the USA from nine airports in the UK and Ireland, more than any other airline.
Continental Airlines (continental.com) is the world's sixth largest airline, with more than 3,200 daily departures. Continental serves 151 US and 137
international destinations more than any other airline in the world and more than 400 additional points are served via SkyTeam alliance airlines.
Continental is the leading US carrier across the Atlantic in terms of the number of cities served, operating up to 266 departures weekly from 25
cities in 14 countries to its US gateway hubs at New York/Newark, Houston and Cleveland, with onward connections to more than 230 cities throughout North America, Latin America and the Caribbean.
