THE LONG overdue arrival of spring has coincided with the launch of leading tour operator Falcon Holidays' new Winter Sun brochure for
2007/08 which features an extensive choice of destinations and lots of special offers for early bookers planning to get away next winter.
As well as the ever-popular Canary Islands of Lanzarote, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, Falcon's new winter programme
features a range of resorts and properties in Egypt's increasingly popular Red Sea Riviera, not to mention special pre-Christmas
holidays and day trips to Lapland.
Special offers for holidaymakers booking before May 31 2007 include savings of up to £120 per couple in specified units as well as the
usual array of free child places and free places for groups of eight or more people. What's more couples can also save up to £190 by not
having to pay an underoccupancy supplement at a number of properties on select dates.
Falcon's Exclusive Kids Clubs and pre-bookable crèches continue to entertain Northern Ireland's children during the winter months at
selected accommodation in the Canary Islands and in the new Holiday Village Red Sea in Sharm el Sheikh.
And for budding football stars Falcon's Holiday Soccer School will also be available at the Holiday Village Sun Tropical in Lanzarote
and the Holiday Village in Sharm during the school holidays (Christmas/New Year, mid-term and Easter). Golfing in the sun
couldn't be easier either with Falcon's recommendations of some of the best golf courses in the Canary Islands.
New for winter 2007 is the option to pre-book scuba diving in the acclaimed Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh. Whether you're a
beginner or an expert diver you can pre-book a course from £50 and then dive into the amazing red sea to experience the rich underwater
life. Also new is BubbleMaker, a diving course where children can learn to dive in the hotel pool at the Coral Sea Resort and Holiday
Village in Sharm with qualified PADI instructors.
Whilst the kids are being looked after and having fun, parents can unwind, relax and experience the ultimate in self-indulgence with a
Spa holiday featuring a range of treatments from aromatherapy and reflexology to hydro-massage and T'ai chi.
Spring sunshine breaks to Majorca, Costa del Sol and the Algarve will be available from March 2008 and Falcon has selected an excellent
range of resorts and accommodation to choose from including the Holiday Village Costa del Sol and The Dom Pedro Golf in Vilamoura.
Spending Christmas or New Year in the sun is becoming increasingly popular with holidaymakers and Falcon's advice is that if you want to
escape the turkey and tinsel next Christmas, book early as people plan far in advance for this time of the year.
For those whose Christmas is not complete without a real dose of Santa…Falcon's magical Lapland experience offers day trips (new for
2007/08) and three night breaks in December to see the man himself! "Our hectic and constantly busy lifestyles are the reason that every
year more than 75,000 Northern Ireland holidaymakers just need to escape and leave it all behind during the long winter months," said
Falcon's NI Director Christine Donnelly.
"A burst of sunshine and a rest can be exactly what the doctor
ordered during a cold, rainy season and we have a great selection of
holiday options for families, couples and groups looking to get away
next year.
"Sun holidays for Christmas, New Year, Easter and the school holidays
will be snapped up early by many customers before they even go on
this year's Easter break and with the launch of winter 07/08 there
are some great money saving offers available for those who book
before the end of May".
"I can't speak for everyone in Northern Ireland but when the weather
at home is as cold and miserable as it has been recently, I know
where I'd rather be - relaxing in the sun by the pool or on the
beach," concluded Christine.
