CADOGAN Holidays has announced a new high season programme from Belfast, having secured extra availability on direct flights to a range of destinations over the peak summer holiday period.

Featuring the best four and five-star hotels around the Mediterranean and beyond, Cadogan is offering a selection of luxury holidays from Belfast to Lanzarote, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Cyprus and Turkey with departures available from June to September 2007.

The man behind the move by Cadogan is Managing Director Tom Allen, a native of Belfast, and someone with many years high profile experience in the travel industry on the UK Mainland.

He said: "I believe there is a substantial market for our product in Northern Ireland. We have been getting a good feedback from travel agents.

"We will certainly look at adding more flights if these ones go well. This is a first step for us out of Belfast - we will assess the situation once we see the result of the 2007 programme."

With more than 50 years experience in providing tailor-made holidays for its discerning clients, Cadogan says it offers complete flexibility, allowing customers to tailor-make an itinerary to suit their individual needs.

As an example of prices, a seven-night stay at the four-star Los Fariones in Lanzarote costs £653 per person from July 20-25 (children under 12 cost £463). The price includes direct flights from Belfast, private transfers and half-board accommodation.

Tom Allen joined Cadogan Holidays as Managing Director in February 2006, but has been in travel for most of his working life.

He has worked for Sunmed; set up his own specialist tour operation Next Island Holidays with his brother Robin; headed the UK office of EuroDisney, and in the last few years has launched and headed up his own on-line travel company, The Holiday People, the best known brand of which is Theme Park Holidays

He has also helped to establish Keith Prowse Tours, travel company for the Keith Prowse Group.
