
LOW- COST airline Jet2.com has revealed that it will fly to two new
destinations from Belfast International to Bournemouth and Cork.These new additions to Jet2.com's Belfast portfolio will become the airline's fourth and fifth routes.
The daily services to both destinations are on sale now and are due to
commence on March 23, 2005, just in time for the Easter break, with prices
starting from £13 including taxes.
Jet2.com boss Philip Meeson said: "Bournemouth is an extremely popular holiday destination, with over seven miles of award-winning beaches and its
vibrant and exciting nightlife makes it a cool destination for both the young and young at heart!
"We expect it to be popular for families, couples and friends alike, offering everything from great cafés and B&Bs to top restaurants and
five-star hotels."There's a dramatic coastline to the west of Bournemouth with spectacular
features such as Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Old Harry Rocks, and there is also the fossil-rich World Heritage-designated 'Jurassic Coast'.
"Southampton is just 40 minutes by road from Bournemouth, while Poole, Salisbury, the New Forest and of course the world famous Stonehenge are all within easy reach."
Speaking about Jet2.com's fifth destination, Philip Meeson added: "Like Bournemouth, Cork is a fantastic place, one of the oldest of all Irish
cities, and the coastline surrounding it is stunning.
"It is a hugely popular tourist destination with countless castles and churches, the popular Irish whiskey tour at The Jameson Heritage Centre,
plus of course the nearby famous Blarney Stone.
"The city will be European Capital of Culture in 2005 and we are thrilled to
be flying to Cork next year.," he added.
