Bmibaby launch Belfast Birmingham

AIRLINE bmibaby is the only carrier to offer services to Birmingham International Airport from Belfast
International Airport.
And recently it celebrated the launch of its new service by presenting the first passengers to check-in
for the first flight with a bottle of champagne. Twice daily flights depart Belfast from Sundays to
Fridays with daily flights on Saturdays. All flights operate using Boeing 737-300 and 500 jet aircraft with
148 and 131 seats respectively. Bmibaby also operates regular departures from Belfast International Airport
to Nottingham East Midlands, Manchester, Cardiff and Durham Tees Valley airports.
The airline offers online seat selection and a hand baggage and checked-baggage allowance of 7kg and 20 kg
respectively. In October 2004 it was awarded the prestigious title of 'Best No Frills Airline' in the
Telegraph Travel Awards. This is the second consecutive year that bmibaby has won the award, which
is voted for by members of the public.
Belfast International Airport's Business Development Director, Uel Hoey, said: "We are starting off the
year as we plan to go on, bringing more new routes to local travellers and Northern Ireland visitors. This
new Belfast-Birmingham service is a great opportunity for business and leisure travellers to travel to the
West Midlands at truly attractive fares.
"We are confident that this route will be successful and we will continue to work closely with bmibaby over
the coming months to develop the frequency on this and other routes on their network from Belfast."
