NOVEMBER has been another good month for flyBE, Belfast City Airport's major user airline.
Passenger figures at Belfast City in November showed a 13 per cent increase over the same month in 2004.
All of Flybe's main bases recorded increases in passenger numbers while figures across the UK grew by 24 per cent, with a total of 369,000
passengers flying with flyBE through the month.
The airline's new routes out of Leeds and Manchester had substantial volume increases with Flybe's base at Birmingham also seeing strong growth.
Mike Rutter, flyBE Chief Commercial Officer, said: "In the last six months flyBE has become one of the fastest growing low-cost carriers.
"The expansion of flights from airports like Leeds, Newcastle and Norwich shows our commitment to regional services, which has been rewarded by strong passenger growth.
"FlyBE is focused on improving services for customers through innovation and efficiency, and we are confident that passenger numbers will continue to rise through the winter period.
"We have introduced a number of new winter ski routes which are already selling well, and for the first time offer regional skiers a straight
forward and easy way to get from their homes to the snow."
