Award-winning cruise line Crystal Cruises has announced details of its first ever Irish departure - a brand new ten-night Mediterranean voyage from
Dublin to Rome departing on May 3, 2007 with prices from £2,458 per person as well as a $150 shipboard credit which can be spent on spa treatments,
shore excursions or alcoholic beverages.
Alternatively, guests can join the ship in Cork on May 4 for a nine-night voyage for the same price.
On May 3 guests will join the ultra-luxurious Crystal Serenity in Dublin for this ten-night voyage which includes visits to Cork, Oporto, Lisbon,
Gibraltar and Barcelona well as an overnight in Monte Carlo before finishing in Rome on May 13.
This voyage is one of Crystal's Wine & Food Festival Theme cruises which sees an award-winning cast of the hottest, most progressive and celebrated
names in American cuisine and wine take to sea to host special dinners, demonstrations and wine tastings.
While onboard guests are treated to a specially prepared four-course dinner featuring each chef¹s signature dishes utilising the sailing region's
freshest ingredients, matched with wine pairings by the guest wine expert.
By day, the visiting chef also demonstrates cooking techniques, shares recipes and tips and participates in question and answer sessions.
Crystal Cruises' Master Sommeliers and other visiting wine experts lead guests through wine tastings to enjoy and compare appellations, vintages and
varietals; learn the history of wine in the regions sailed; receive valuable hints on choosing and pairing wines, and become more familiar with Crystal's
cellar of more than 200 selections, one of the most extensive at sea.
