Novel Free Fuel Offer for Irish Sea Ferry Travellers

P&O Ferries is offering customers in Northern Ireland £15 worth of fuel for free to help them explore Scotland, in what is believed to be the first offer of its kind on the Irish Sea.

Motorists who book before October 26 are eligible to take advantage of the free fuel and can travel on up to seven sailings a day from Larne to Cairnryan between now and the end of 2017.

P&O Ferries operate the shortest, most frequent crossings between Northern Ireland and Scotland and with lots to do on board, travelling to Scotland has never been easier.

Neal Mernock, P&O Ferries Sector Director for the Irish Sea, said: "Once you arrive in Cairnryan with your car you are free to explore the beautiful Dumfries and Galloway region or embark on a car touring adventure to nearby cities like Edinburgh, Glasgow or beyond. By topping up our customers' tanks with £15 worth of free fuel, we hope to help them explore just that little bit further afield.

“There is no faster way of taking your car to Scotland than with P&O Ferries, which this year is celebrating the 180th anniversary of the founding of P&O in 1837.

"While on board our recently refurbished ships, you can benefit from the variety of meals offered by our new catering menu, avail of discounts of up to 40 per cent on high street prices in the shop, and enjoy activities to keep the whole family entertainment. It’s why we pride ourselves on saying that the holiday begins as soon as you set foot on the ship.”

The £15 worth of free fuel offer is open to long-break customers (ie trips of five nights or more plus one way travel) and valid vehicles include cars, motorhomes and motorcycles. The offer is also available on P&O Ferries' route between Dover in England and Calais in France.
