Egg-citing Times for Families at Tayto Park

Tayto Park, Ireland’s only theme park and zoo, has reopened its doors with an egg-citing range of activities on offer for families and little ones to enjoy this Easter.

Tayto Park, located in Ashbourne, County Meath, is perfect for a jam-packed day out this Easter break and is becoming more and more popular with visitors from Northern Ireland with 25 per cent of all visitors now travelling from the north.

On Easter Sunday, April 16, the park will play host to a ‘Who stole the egg?’ event in which kids will become crime scene investigators to help find an egg that we know was stolen by one of the animals in the zoo – we just don't know which one!

Child detectives can visit the crime scene to collect clues to unlock the mystery of the disappearing egg and all participants will receive a delicious chocolate egg at the end of their visit.

Other Easter activities to look for this year at Tayto Park include complimentary face painting everyday throughout the mid-term break, lambs in the petting zoo, Easter themed arts and crafts suitable for children under 6 years of age, and daily educational animal feeding talks.

Older kids and adults looking for their next adrenaline rush can ride the infamous Cú Chúlainn Coaster and try their hands at rock climbing and sky walking before enjoying the hair-raising thrills of the Power Surge, Endeavor and Windstar attractions.

Tayto Park also offers an exceptional and diverse animal collection which features many conservation dependent species. The zoo is home to a variety of animals, including big-cats, meerkats, monkeys, fossa and birds of prey, perfect for animal lovers and those looking to discover more about wildlife.
