It's Cheaper to Fly and Hire a Car on Riviera

Fewer UK and Ireland travellers are taking their own car to the South of France these days, because of fuel costs, high French motorway tolls - and not least that it easier to get to the Riviera by low cost airline.

Now a comparitively new car hire company website Rhinocarhire.com is offering daily car hire rates from Nice airport from just £19 per day this summer.

Collecting a rental car at Nice Airport allows travellers to enjoy a multicentre break along the coast with Cannes, Villefranche, Menton, Antibes and Monaco all within a couple of hours drive of each other.

Rhino Car Hire's Marketing Manager, Phil Partridge said: "We're seeing a lot of activity on car rental bookings for France this summer. People are choosing to hire a car from Nice Airport and drive through the beautiful French countryside before dropping the hire car off at another location or doing a circular route returning to their arrival airport. With fuel prices rocketing, the days of driving from the UK to the South of France are out of reach of many people's pockets and with our rates in Nice starting from only £19 per day, the savings are obvious."

The price is based on seven days rental of mini class vehicle during April 2012 - prices correct at time of going to press and subject to availability.
