First Galway Food Festival Over Easter

Fancy four days of fantastic food and events in Galway? Then why not join the fun at the first Galway Food Festival during the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend from Friday, April 6, to Monday, April 9.

Celebrating Galway as a good food destination, this new festival will promote good food and good food outlets in Galway, showcase food producers based in Galway and in the West and aim to attract visitors to a fun-filled, family-friendly festival in Ireland's city of festivals. The festival will be a citywide event involving restaurants and food outlets throughout Galway and its environs. It is supported by Fáilte Ireland, Galway City Council, Galway County Council, Galway Enterprise Board and a wide range of participating restaurants, food outlets and their suppliers. Major supporting sponsors include Pallas Foods and Bunzl McLaughlin.

The festival will feature Open-air Markets promoting local produce and producers including the renowned Galway Market, Restaurant Trails, Cookery Demonstrations, a Festival Village at Fishmarket Square, Food Tours to local artisan producers, Foraging, Food Talks, Tastings, Wine Workshops with industry experts, lots of Local Produce, a Meet the Producers Forum, Kids Activities and more.

The festival will also include street performances, music trails and family-friendly entertainment. For info log on to the Galway Food Festival website.
